Sunday, April 7, 2019: Final Pre-Trip Review

Over the past week, I've received the updated travel documents from Seabourn with our new suite tags and custom itinerary. The documentation included a floor plan of our Signature Suite (#701). We are on the starboard bow of the ship. While I would have preferred being on the port side to avoid the mid-day sun, this will be fine. Our previous Owner's Suite (#801) was on the starboard side as well.

The itinerary with shore excursions is now:

Once the Seabourn cruise ends after the morning tour of Lisbon on May 3, we will meet with Stephen, who is flying into Lisbon that morning, and check into the Hotel Avenida Palace before joining the Viking river cruise on May 5.

As for transfers (one of my perpetual worries), here is the low down:

• Arrival in Barbados on April 16, Sarah and I will catch a cab to the Hilton. The following day, Seabourn will have someone meet us at the Hilton to drive us to the ship terminal at noon
• Upon arrival in Lisbon, Seabourn is responsible for getting us to our hotel, but since Sarah and I are doing the morning tour, we will need to discuss with the Service Desk on board about making that transfer
• Stephen will need to catch a cab from the Lisbon airport to the hotel on May 3
• Sarah's transfer from the Lisbon hotel to the airport on May 4 will be via a cab for which we will arrange with the hotel
• Stephen will be transferred by Viking from the ship to the Porto airport for the return trip on May 14
• Maxine and I will arrange for our own transportation to the Porto airport in Lisbon on May 14 (we both have early flights and are not using flights arranged through Viking)
