Another sunny day with apparent winds still in the 30-35 kts range. We added another hour to our clocks last night. After breakfast, Sarah was off to her Bridge lesson and I went to a talk on Maritime Geography. It was an interesting talk in which the presenter (Cpt. Tom Anderson) discussed maritime history and its relationship to geography...basically how landlocked nations are always trying to acquire sea access at almost any cost. Tomorrow the presentation is concerning the little appreciated shipping container box.
We met for lunch in the Colonnade where they were serving a Greek menu. Pretty good.
After lunch, Sarah went to her water color class and I sat in on a talk by Paul Deegan self-promoting his life long journey to reach the summit of Mt. Everest. He finally did.
I then went to a talk by Edward Marks. He was an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cape Verde and Guinea for less than two years between 1977 and 1980. A Carter appointee. Anyway, he discussed American Foreign Policy from G.H.W. Bush through Trump. In a nut shell, he opinion is that, with respect to American Foreign Policy, the first Bush was a failure, Clinton didn't achieve much, the second Bush was a failure, Obama didn't achieve much but had his heart in the "right" place and finally, Trump is an utter and continuing failure. Then he opened the discussion up to the audience. The atmosphere quickly degenerated into an alternating Trump bashing and promoting contest. I left totally disgusted with all of them, especially the presenter, Mr. Marks.
This afternoon, Sarah and I went to a Passover Seder Service. It was interesting. It was supposedly a 30-minute Seder that took almost two hours. Then we had a kosher dinner. The Seder was performed by Rabbi Corrine Copnick from California.
