This is the last sea day before we reach the Canary Islands. Tomorrow morning we do our first shore excursion on Santa Cruz de la Palma, the North Island Discovery tour. We meet pier-side at 0830 hours. It is a four hour tour. It supposedly includes some scenic vistas, a visit to a rum distillery and a coastal walk.
Tonight is our last "Formal" night, a.k.a., tuxedo night. I love them!
Last night we got a notice last that the visit to the Kasbah Museum shore excursion in Tangier (which will be closed due to May Day holiday) will be replaced with a visit tot he Cap Spartel & Hecules Caves (allegedly where Hercules rested during his labors).
After breakfast, Sarah headed off for Bridge and I attended, hopefully the last, presentation by Amb. Marks. A very forgettable series of lectures.
Before lunch we both attended a presentation by Executive Chef Eric Torralba. He demonstrated how to create a Ratatouille and a Hot souffle. It was interesting and I picked up a couple of things I want to try.
We had lunch in the Colonnade and then Sarah was off to painting and I went to Cpt. Tom's maritime lecture. Again Cpt. Tom alluded to some changes coming to our itinerary. He still doesn't know what is going on and said he doesn't think Seabourn does either.
This is Sarah's last two classes have been acrylics on a hand bag. She finished it today and it will be on display at the end of the cruise.
Getting back to the room this afternoon, I stopped by the sixth deck and went out to the forward hot tub to get a shot of our veranda from the bow.
I’ve always wanted to try Ratatouille! I hope you’ll make it for us!
